Our goals as31576 goals are to unify local and remote peering concepts :
Why not free? Local peering with as31576 is free of charge. Remote peering does cost, so it is not free.Free and free are opposites : decisions are always taken by people who finance. So whatever you use but don't pay for makes you dependant. Thanks to easy and automatic processing of connexions, the peering volumes and control does not have to be charged. On the opposite, networks are expensive and induce a significant
cost. Since we think a peering place has to be independant, we do
not believe it can be free or charges. This is the reason why an
order has to be passed and bandwidth capacity has to be paid. Billing You are charged for bandwith capacity, at beginning of the the month, from the amount reserved when passing your order.Your order for month N indicates the amounts that you will be charged for usage of the network. If you bandwidth for month N-1 exceeds your N-1 order (or a previous reconducted order), then you will be charged for the "burst", and month N will be adjusted to fit month N-1 network usage. Thus month N bill includes :
If you subscribe to as31576, the level 3 BGP service is free.
However network usage is not, so you will find information
about bandwith prices on the GEIX pricing page by following
the link (unless otherwise specified here, GEIX conditions
apply)... Conditions Paiment of month N bill is due immediately. The service will not be reconducted and peering suspended if paiment is not received before 1rst of month N+1.Wire transfer only is accepted, the exact reference of
the invoice is required to identify payment source. |
